BMI View: We expect non-hydro renewables capacity to increase by an annual average of 7.7% between 2016 and 2025, with an installed capacity base of over 400GW by 2025 - by far the largest renewables market globally .New regulations for grid operators in China will help ease congestion bottlenecks for renewables developers and reduce the idling of plants, presenting an upside to our already bullish renewables forecasts.

Latest Updates And Structural Trends
-In August Sinohydro Corporation's subsidiary Sinohydro Renewable Energy issued a tender for an EPC contract to develop a 90MW wind park off the coast of Tianjin. Sinohydro said the contract will involve work from October 31 to November 30 2017.
-Yingli Green Energy has announced in July that one of its units has connected a 50MW solar farm in Datong, Shanxi, to the grid. The project, executed under the Top Runner programme launched by China's National Energy Administration, uses Yingli's TwinMAX 60 Cell bi-facial series modules.
-Chinese company Trina Solar and Hong Kong-based clean energy solutions provider Asia Clean Capital entered a cooperation agreement in July to jointly develop more than 300MW of solar capacity in China over the next three years. The partners will focus on industrial rooftop arrays, as well as other undisclosed opportunities.
